In an effort to win hearts and minds of movie-goers, the first trailer for "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" parachuted onto the Internet Monday night.

Based on the popular line of toys, the franchise has enlisted a few more good men since the first installment, 2009's "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" — including Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis, who makes his debut in the trailer firing a machine gun from the bed of a pickup truck. Channing Tatum (Duke) is back for another tour of duty against the nefarious terrorist group Cobra.

"Let's move, the world ain't saving itself," Johnson says in the trailer.

And the world will need plenty of saving judging by the two-and-a-half-minute footage. The American government — with Cobra's master of disguise, Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), having taken the place of the president — has declared war on the G.I. Joe team, leaving a handful of survivors to clear their name.

There's another reinforcement, though: the female ninja Jynx (Elodie Yung), seen in a clip blindfolded and engaged in a swordfight with fan favorite Snakeyes (Ray Park).

Directed by Jon M. Chu, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" commences operations in movie theaters on June 29, 2012.
