iPad sales estimates reach nearly 20 million

Apple is expected to register record iPad sales for the December quarter.

Apple tablets were one of the most popular gifts up to the end of the quarter on December 31st.

Christmas sales did extremely well, even with rumours of a new edition iPad just around the corner in 2012.

Estimates of iPads sold in the last quarter reached a high of 19.47 million according to MacObserver.

With the new figures, the total number of the Apple tablets sold since 2010 will have reached over million.
