Accounts belonging to users of Xbox Live, the online gaming service from Microsoft, have reportedly been hacked.

Criminals are raking in thousands of pounds by tricking online gamers into revealing vital information.

This particular attack works by sending players fake emails, similar to the 'phishing' attacks, that direct them to bogus websites offering free Microsoft points that can be used to buy games, the Daily Mail reports.
