Michael Jackson named highest-earning dead celeb by Forbes magazine

Michael Jackson has topped the list of highest-earning dead celebrities compiled by Forbes magazine.

The King of Pop, who died in June 2009 at age 50, made more money than any other dead celebrity over the past year, according to Forbes' rankings, the New York Post reported.

Jackson posthumously earned 170 million dollars over the past 12 months from sales of his back catalog, his music publishing company, Mijac Music, and his stakes in the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog.

The top five deceased celebrities following Jackson are Elvis Presley (55 million dollars), Marilyn Monroe (27 million dollars), 'Peanuts.... BNN
